Annie Grace Bell (aged 11)
7th April, 1895
“Annie Grace Bell, Aged 11, was killed at Lougton Station (staffordshire) while crossing the line with her younger brother in front of a train. The train approached quicker than they had anticipated and the brave little maiden, pushed her brother clear of the track but in doing so was struck by the buffer of the engine, which hurled her some distance down the line.”
Just another brave soul whose selfless act was reported at the time in the local press but since then has been lost, until now.
